Key SpecMCP and gematik terms used throughout the help center.
| Term | Meaning |

| MCP | Model Context Protocol, the connection standard that lets an AI client use external tools. |
| Specification (spec) | A gematik document that defines requirements for a TI product, service, or interface. |
| Requirement | An individual, identified obligation or statement in a specification, often with an ID such as A_22793-01. |
| Certification scope / Steckbrief | The product or provider profile that defines the requirements gematik verifies for certification. |
| gemProdT | A product-type certification scope. |
| gemAnbT | A provider-type certification scope. |
| Verification type | The expected evidence method, such as product test, declaration, audit, or document review. |
| OAuth | Browser-based authorization that lets a client connect without embedding a personal token. |
| Personal access token (PAT) | A secret bearer token for clients that cannot use OAuth. SpecMCP tokens begin with gsp_. Can be scoped to a single certification scope or specific specs for CI/CD. |
| Seat | A licensed member of a subscription. Each seat allows one concurrent MCP session. |
| Trial | The free allowance for a new account: a fixed number of tool calls with full library access, no credit card required. |
| Evaluation access | The free tier after the trial: a small number of tool calls per day against a limited set of specs, without certification-scope scoping. |
| Binding version | The current in-force version. A draft is a pre-release and is not binding. |
